How do I know the terms of the sublease?

You can find the subleasing terms of your property from your property manager's lease conditions. You can also discuss specific move-in/move-out dates and the finer details with the original lister!

What's the difference between a sublease, lease takeover, and lease add-on?

Sublease means you're temporarily taking someone's room (they're still on the lease). Takeover means you're replacing them on the lease entirely. Lease add-on means you're being added to the existing lease alongside the current tenants.

How do I report a suspicious listing or a bug?

You can report a suspicious listing by clicking the flag icon on any given listing and stating a short reason. If there is a bug or a problem with the site, shoot an email to sjang@ucsb.edu and we'll get back to you ASAP!

Can I list places outside IV?

We cover Isla Vista, Goleta near campus, UCSB-affiliated housing and downtown SB. Anything outside of that range is out of scope to keep our site local 🏝️
